Yellow Heart Sanctuary is a 501(c)3 registered nonprofit organization that provides care for sick, injured, orphaned, and retired show animals throughout the East Coast of the United States. They rely on donations from the public to continue their work, and do not receive any state or federal funding.
Jumping Off Point
In collaboration with Savannah Sanderson, we created the hypothetical Yellow Heart Sanctuary. Separately we looked for visual inspiration that would spark some ideas for our branding. Together we created an assortment of deliverables for them to use.
The Direction
We moved forward with a logo with an approachable, caring tone to match Yellow Heart's mission. With soft or rounded edges, various illustrated plants, and a bright but not overbearing color palette to boot, I believe that we are ready to discover where the wild things really are.
This project was a team effort in its truest form. No decision was made, or bezier curve shaped without reviewing it together first. Thanks to that mindset we were able to create a cohesive and inviting nonprofit from scratch!
