Brand Identity // Copywriting
nth Degree is a golf manufacturing start up dedicated to bringing the highest technology to each piece of equipment that leaves their doors. They have a strong belief that the game of golf should be for any and everyone.
Jumping Off Point
Since the brief only had a simple description of nth Degree, it was up to us to determine everything else. My process began on paper, discovering what message we wanted to send to our audience and how we could achieve that within the first look of the logo mark.
The Direction
Several Illustrator art boards later, we settled on the below mark to be used as the main logo, with different variations of it being complementary logos. A simple color palette with warm base tones, and a bold, sans serif typeface were chosen and the brand identity basically created itself. A playful voice matched with an interesting type treatment kept everything visually interesting, while the sharp lines and simple palette kept everything clean.
After all of the deliverables were designed and mocked, the creation of the brand guide was the last step. Adding a contrasting element of a circular photo cropping next to the sharp diagonal lines really made the piece sing.
